Adam is a strategic leader with over 20 years’ experience in aligning people, processes, and technology to meet organizational goals and objectives in a variety of public sector organizations. His expertise encompasses change management, technology operations, business transformation, IT modernization, portfolio/project management, operational excellence, and building strong partnerships. A bias for action & effective team management are tools that Adam has utilized throughout his career in the successful delivery of business operations, leading large-scale projects, and improving organizational productivity. His leadership style is exceptionally collaborative with employees, colleagues, senior staff, politicians and external stakeholders which is particularly essential in consensus-based public sector environments that serve multiple “masters”. Adam is skilled at creating a sense of urgency on enterprise initiatives by effectively using resources and investments to deliver business value and ensures a balance between ”getting it right” with ”getting it done”.
At the Region of Peel, Adam successfully led the design, creation and implementation of the most extensive business transformation initiative in the organization’s history, a reimagining of the Information Technology function from a people, process and tools perspective. Throughout his career, Adam has led many significant system upgrades and new implementations of corporate systems such as HRIS, CRM, FIS, SIS and in-house built applications. He believes that leadership stems from authentic, accountable and courageous modelling of behaviours. As a servant leader, Adam has been highly successful in creating organizational & operational efficiencies through delivering excellent customer service, inspiring high employee morale, and building long-term relationships with colleagues, clients & stakeholders.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts specializing in Public Administration from the University of Windsor. He also holds a Diploma in Applied Information Technology from the Information Technology Institute in addition to a variety of postgraduate executive certificates including a Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership from the Schulich School of Business and the Ontario Supervisory Officer Executive Leadership Program from the Rotman School of Business. Adam is also a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner (ADKAR).
